Name Confusion - Bim 360 Design is BIM 360 Design Collaboration???

You guys are clearly named Dersign Collaboration, is this the same service as BIM 360 Design? If so, get the names right please, this is super confusing. Especially after switching from C4R, it's like Autodesk has multiple personalities and keeps changing names.

Also, this forum is not listed in the product list, where a regular user would look for BIM 360 Design, not BIM 360 Design Collaboration.

Please, keep it consistent.

This forum is for discussion of workflows involving the new Design Collaboration module in Next Gen BIM 360, which is available as part of the BIM 360 Design product.  If you have questions about the Revit cloud worksharing experience, you can post over on this forum.

BIM 360 Design is effectively a collection of cloud services.  Subscription to it allows teams to Cloud Workshare in Revit, as well as do file-based collaboration (via Desktop Connector) on either BIM 360 Team or Next Gen BIM 360.  Which BIM 360 platform you use depends on the version of Revit you want to use.  If it's versions previous to Revit 2018.3, then BIM 360 Team is the choice.  If the team is running Revit 2018.3, they can choose either BIM 360 platform.  If they are running Revit 2019 then Next Gen BIM 360 is the only option.

As for the forum location, this is forum is alongside the forums for all the other Next Gen BIM 360 modules.  I can see how that might be a bit confusing, and I'll bring it up with our web team.

Hi Kyle,

BIM 360 Design is not listed with all the other BIM 360 services. Instead, is is an ambiguous subset of the generic BIM 360. I would add BIM 360 Design to the general list of product forums, much like BIM 360 Teams used to be (and still is for now).

Making this mode official and have the name match the name of the product will help with clarify when trying to locate the right forum. Thank you for your response
