We have just upgraded to desktop connector 16.0 and the right click / sync option doesn't seem to exist in file explorer. when I right click on a file I just get the windows right click info. where can I sync/lock/unlock etc. files manually within file explorer.

So how do we manually sync?

or lock/unlock files without opening BIM360 web site?

As you know things don't always work as expected...so a manual option was very useful at times.

I don't know. I think you are limiting yourself by not using web site but that's your call.

We do use the website but if you just have to do a quick lock / unlock on your file it's faster to do it in file explorer than log into the website.

Maybe this new DC will work better and there will be less reasons to sync manually. But.....

I've already had a file that would not unlock upon saving/closing and would not sync on it's own.

I had to replace the one that would not sync on the website to get it to push out...where as before I would have just manually unlocked and synced.

It's just a good option to have if things are not behaving as expected. that's all...

To manually sync I just move the file to my desktop and move it back.  To unlock you have to use the website until they add that back.

Manual Sync is very helpful in the slow connection and trying to move the file back and forth. is not a typical solution, why they removed in the first place? please reconsider adding that options including the lock/unlock files

i think manual sync is needed for e-transmit. because if files havent open yet and there is no cache yet you cannot add it to the e-transmit. what if you have hundreds of drawings, do we have to open it 1 by 1 to have cache? please message if there is a solution to this. thanks.
