Issue Package in Collaboration, how to get notification??

Hi there,

I hope you are well.

I am wondering how to get notifications once a team issue a packages or assign a message to specific teams.

I cannot find a way. Surely it must be a way otherwise package can be missed for a few days or totally missed.

Any ideas or advice?

Thank you very much

@Anonymous I'm not aware of a functionality where you can subscribe to a team, which would then send you a notification when a package is issued.

Regarding Issues, this seems to be related to your other question https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/bim-360-design-collaboration/design-collaboration-issue-and-marks-up/...

Nevertheless, as in Docs, you will only be notified about an issue when you are assigned to, or mention in an issue.

Hey @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting. There are notifications within BIM 360 Design Collaboration once a package is shared by a team, so that other teams know it's available.

I assume you want to get notified outside of BIM 360 Design Collaboration. If so could you add some thoughts on:

How would you like to get that notifications ideally?

How do you know in your current workflows about updated from another teams?

Thanks in advance,

Markus

Hi Markus,

Thank you for the answer.

Yep, you assume well.

I would like to that people from other team get a external notification (email it is the most used I guess) as well as my own team to let them know the packages has been issued?

Is it possible?

Thank you very much.

Hi Adsk,

The notification function would really help the team to monitor the activities in Design Collaboration. Currently, we are just monitoring the events by going inside design collaboration frequently. Hope this will be a feature that can be added in the near future.

Agree - project teams do not monitor the project hub constantly, and in the design phase of a project, getting a consultant update *IS* an importance level on par with a construction phase Issue.

This needs to be incorporated. I'm disappointed to see that a request for this from *3 YEARS AGO* still has not been implemented.

I see there is now a button in Design Collaboration to turn on notifications for an individual, but when a collaborator posted a package via Bridge, we did not receive an email. Is the notification button not working for the bridge at this time? When can we have that capability?

I did some more digging, and it looks like notifications do not work with the bridge.

See Autodesk resource here: statics.teams.cdn.office.net/evergreen-assets/safelinks/2/atp-safelinks.html

Autodesk, this would be an amazing feature to turn on if possible. Having teams email external parties or run daily checks for new files is a time suck we could easily reclaim.
