Is BIM360 being phased out?

Is BIM360 slowly being phased out? Is there a new cloud platform other than BIM360 & ACC that Revit models  are hosted on?

Hi @dmiller2010 currently only BIM 360 Team has been slated for phase out.

I haven't heard anything about BIM 360 being phased out yet.

Thank you.

At this point there has been no End of Life for B360.

However, my opinion, itā€™s been placed on ā€˜maintenanceā€™ meaning no new features, no minor updates, only major fixes will be resolved.

So, there is no new Cloud Platform for Revit model sharing. It will still be BIM360 and ACC are the two options?

That's correct. The "Unified Platform" you see is the next generations of Autodesk Construction Cloud. We switched to it last year and have stopped creating BIM360 projects based on the vast improvements for project templates, project bridging and more.

I don't see any immediate notification of "end of life" for BIM 360 but I'm not going to camp out on it either.

Hi All,

Is this current? I know Autodesk is phasing out BIM 360 Team in September 2024 but is there anything new on BIM 360?

Not that we're aware of. IF Autodesk does decide to phase this out, there will be extended notice due to volume of projects that are hosted on the site.

Dear Autodesk Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the status of the BIM 360 platform, specifically regarding the retirement of the BIM360 platform (often referred to as BIM 360).

Could you please confirm whether the BIM 360 platform has indeed been retired? If so, I would appreciate your guidance on how to migrate files to the next platform. Is the new platform referred to as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)?

Additionally, if there is an official announcement regarding this change, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with a link or a copy of that announcement. I would like to share this information with my client, who has requested the use of BIM 360 for our new project.

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.

See the first response - only BIM 360 TEAMS, the original collaboration platform from Autodesk is being phased out. File are only available as read only on this version and must be backed/removed before the end of September.

The other versions, such as BIM 360 Design will continue in the current forms, with Autodesk Docs/Unified Platform being the current version and the focus of product development by Autodesk.

Personally, the Unified Platform version is the only way to go now. We already start all new projects there and are starting to upgrade/cycle new projects from 2021/2022 to 2023/2025 depending on consultants and timeline and move them to UP. With the 16.x versions of desktop connector, we simply zip up a folder set (not an entire project - too large of a zip) and then copy/unzip in the new location. The process is pretty simple, but I would do the upgrade in BIM360 first and then download/manually upgrade any problem files.

Do you have a BIM Collaborate Pro license or an AEC Collection license that includes Autodesk Docs? You need to make sure you are either using BIM Collaborate Pro or a full Build license for Revit.
