Folder Structure Depth - How deep is to deep

So I have a client that's looking to setup their hub in the most efficient and organized way.  Since we can't link from Project to Project, they have a number of buildings/models that must all live in the same BIM360 Project.  So I'm looking at trying to break this down, but I have a feeling I'm going to run into issues with the number/depth of sub-folders.

For some reason I thought I remember reading that you don't want to go more than 2 sub-folders for hosted Revit models.  ie Project Files => Building => Team => Revit file.  I'm looking at something that wants to have a few more subfolders than that.  I'd like to be able to do Project Files => Campus => Local Campus => Building => Project => Discipline.  (See Attached Sketch)

I guess my question is how many folders is to deep and what issues will I run into by doing that.  The problem is the client has a massive campus on one site, with multiple lo buildings that are all connected.  So in my thought train above, Local Campus may not been needed, but it would benefit as they building groups have a different address.  I need all of these models in one project due to Site Egress plans and overall landscape plans.  It's a bunch of existing models that are going to have multiple small projects that will effect many of the other building on the site.  Due to the large number of consultants and sub contractors (some of which are doing design build work), we really only want to grant edit permissions to the company that owns those models.

Hopefully I've explained the problem and the question well enough.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
