Are you using the correct version of Revit for the project?

I have the exact same problem. I can see the files through Windows Explorer and even at autodesk.com but not through Revit.

Hi @dadel37 ,

If the model has been saved into Docs by a different version you will not be able to see the model in a different version of Revit. So, lets say the model was saved in Revit 2020 and you are using Revit 2022. It will show as a blank folder.

The second reason is if the model was updated directly to ACC or BIM 360 and not saved through Revit you can not see the model when you try and open through Revit. You need to save the model directly through Revit to access correctly. You can still see the model if you access the desktop connector when you go File > This PC > Desktop Connector > .........

I hope this helps answer your question.

I support Gareth's reply, and this second option as being the most likely.

Hi Gareth,

thank you very much for trying to help me out. The first part is not the issue, I´m using the same Revit version as the data.

I didn´t understand how to try the second solution, because if another user, who has access to the data through Revit, synchronises, Revit automaticaly saves the data, right? So, how could it be saved otherwise? We´re more people working here on this Central Model data, which is being saved and synchronised daily but I am one of the few, who can´t access the data. Do you have any idea what else can I try?

Thank you very much!

Hi @dadel37 ,

OK so others can access the model(s) from Revit, right?

So, I also assume that the model has been workshared and are a centralised model. Is that correct?

Now if they are workshared models does everyone has access to BIM Collaborate Pro? You need to have a license of this to work on workshared models saved in ACC or BIM 360. If you have a license, then you will need to check firstly that has been active in your Autodesk Account. As well you need to have the Revit Cloud Worksharing active to allow you to use the worksharing tools.

It would also be worth having a look at this article Cannot access BIM 360 Projects in Revit from the Autodesk Knowledge Network.

I hope this fixes yours and others issue.
