Bulk adding and removing folder in 20 or more projects

All,

have found some discussion on possible coming solutions for Bulk changing of folder structures in projects.

As we are managing 20+ projects and we maintain standard folder structures it happens that over time they change. This means now manually changing them in 20+ projects not even able to update it via desktop connector or with copy pasting it between projects.

Is there tooling that can help us speed up the update and removal process in folder structures in multiple projects?

Cheers Arjan

If you use Autodesk Desktop Connector, there is the capability to build a folder structure on your desktop and drag and drop it into your BIM 360 project. It's not perfect, but it certainly helps when you need to change standardised folders across multiple projects

I use Desktop connector but that has the same problem that you cannot copy between projects.
If it would have more features like Windows explorer has it could solve the problems.
Here you can copy between folders and thus to projects but that is not possible in Desktop connector.
You can only drop files that you first downloaded from BIM not using the desktop connector because it does as far as I have tested not allow you to download information only upload it.
So please create some more user friendly to manage great amounts of standardized projects!

I am supporting a few customers on this and there are few ways

1- Have a folder template on your local machine and ctrl+c it and using the desktop connector ctrl+v the folders into the 20+ projects.

2- Have a template in docs and use that when creating projects. (You already probably know that)

3- Using Autodesks ACC Connect. https://construction.autodesk.com/connect. Here you can customize tasks so it could copy a folder structure between projects.

Hope this helps.
