Hi,
I have recently tested projects on the ACC platform (in working if it is ideal to transition to the 'new' platform). I stumbled across a few issues and some observations ;
- BIM360 'services' that is part of BIM Collaboration Pro Subscription appear to be broken into parts of ACC - 'Design', 'Build', 'Plan', 'Operate' (at the time of writing) and the recently missing 'Cost Control ' (now part of ACC 'Build'). BIM Collaboration Pro subscription seem to only be integrated/approve as part of ACC 'Design' inclusion and not the rest (Field Management, Project Management, Insight, etc). In ACC, you do not have this 'services' available but in BIM360 you do. Similar question ;
- Due to the current ACC 'deem inclusion' (after linking my ACC platform Id with my BIM360 platform Id) this is where my ordeal begins. I being to experienced missing 'services' on BIM360, unable to rename or delete or archive a certain Folder/Project structure (Library Forms), and the most unpleasant part for me is how it affected my Autodesk license structure and teams (It was explained to me by a Support Officer when trying to restore 'services' to BIM360 platform this was due to the association of BIM360 platform id, ACC platform id and Contract Id).
- The two platform has separate Admin settings and Apps.
- I am unable to create Company and Roles settings on ACC (that can only be created & manage via BIM360)
- The ACC and the BIM360 resolution support team appears to not be part the same 'ecosystem' or communicating with each other. It makes tracking/resolving issue so much harder, namely the ACC support ticket is not documented in your Contract/Profile and you have to write/solve twice.
- I discern that it is the ACC platform that is affecting my BIM360 platform. Therefore if you have not activated or created a Project on ACC, you are likely unaffected on BIM360. (I would not recommend anyone to transition or activate the ACC platform at this time if you are already working on BIM360 platform)
- I am concern with how much we have to pay moving forward - BIM360 Collaborate Pro + each of ACC 'Services'?
Is anyone experiencing these issues or any other observation in your ACC testing? transitioning from BIM360?
Kind Regards,
Bryan
