BIM 360 BUILD - Assets Module and QR Code

i have an issue with associating the QR code with an asset and im not entirely sure of how to go about doing it.

i will explain my workflow here and perhaps someone can assist, very much appreciated.

I am creating individual assets for all of my prefabricated bathroom units under the new assets module under BIM360 Build. Each unit is to come with a QR code (generated from any website) from the factory that will then be delivered to the site. At the site, i would like the site engineer to scan the QR code which will then take him to the asset that has been associated with the QR code.

How do i go about associating the QR code with the asset?

You need to add the barcode text identifier into the barcode field within the asset. Then when scanned it will link to the asset.

@múinteoirthanks for your response. i saw your video, even though there isn't any sound, its very useful.

But just to further clarify on some points.

1) I only have to make sure that the Asset name and barcode name is the same ?

2) When creating the QR code from any website, is it necessary to also have the same name as the Asset and barcode name?

Just ensure the text added to the barcode field is the same as the text used when creating the QR code
