Hi there,

I hope you are well.

We are experiencing odd situation with Autodesk connector:

Below screenshow whihc show:

BIM Doc and 2 Autodesk Connectors from different users.

We open an excel in USER 1, as you can see in the odd files which should not be visible. It is a file created when the files is saved.

Screenshot from 2 different usersScreenshot from 2 different usersbbb.JPGPicture above:

2 Users opening the same excel with the same version in Autodesk Connector:

As shown in O25/24 we have different information, it means USER1 do not see the same as USER2.

We thought it due to speed, but it is not the case, we try yesterday night to see if it does the work during the night, we got the same problem.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

Hi Ambrosio,

Thanks for reporting the issue. Can you try to download the excel file from BIM 360 Docs web and see what content it shows on the downloaded excel file?

Thanks,

Klain

Hi there,

Yep I can and I did.

It shows the old information and it does not show the new information.

Thanks

Hi,

Let me see if I understand the problem.

User 1 opens the Excel file via Desktop Connector, makes changes then saves it, but the changes do not show up in Docs.

User 2 opens the file using Desktop Connector but changes made by user 1 are not there.

Also, there is an odd file "C4C90000"  in the folder - is this file created by Excel?

Is it possible that someone else saved the file on top of the changes made by user 1?

Could you please confirm the version of Desktop Connector installed in both machines?

Also, is there any pending actions listed in Desktop Connector?

Cheers,

Luciane

Hi @Anonymous,

I’m just following up to see if you were able to gather the information @Luciane_Conceicao had previously requested to assist me in troubleshooting your issue.

Thank you and have a great day!

Correct, you understood perfectly.

No no option of that, as we have tested many ways between 2 people controlling access.

Hi Ambrosio,

Thanks for your reply.

I am not able to reproduce the issue you reported.

I have found that Excel creates temporary files in the folder where the original file is saved, but it then deletes it once the Excel file is closed.

It is possible that you do not have enough rights to the folder, see this.

Are you able to reproduce this issue if you log in as local administrator of the machine?

Cheers,

Luciane

Hi there,

I am the owner, so yes I have all the rights.

Checked antivirus and nothing seems to interface with desktop.

So I am still not sure where the problen come from.

Any option to have a private conversation where we can share screens?

Thanks
