ACC - desktop connector issues

Hi All,

I'm with a construction company, using Revit for more than 10 years. We have a group of engineers and modellers, often working together at one project within a team. We've used the BIM360 environment for some time, to link IFC's directly into our RVT projects, however, due to several reasons we ended up using our local servers for that. Then Autodesk promissed a lot of improvement with ACC. At the start of the most recent project (only myself as a user) it went very well. Creating cloud models, linking IFC's and CAD files directly from ACC. Despite several desktop conector issues (the 15.xx) i was able to make good progress within the project. But then...

The team was expended by 3 people. All using RVt 2022, same updates, hotfixes, add-ons etc. Nothing new for us; we use worksharing all the time. But since day 1 we work with those 4 people AND since the introduction of the destop connector 16.xx, we face following (daily) issues:

- when opening revit project - service is unavailable

- when opening revit project - therfore no or some links (RANDOM for every user...) are loaded

- when adding an IFC file from ACC folder - bottom left is loading elements etc, however in the end revit cannot load the file.

- in ACC, at random, the .ifc.RVT files that are being created by the users **, are being locked. We keep telling Autodesk (please note we do have several ongoing tickets now) that we assume this is one of the main reason(s) for the unloading issue.

We have been in contact with 3 or 4 technical support specialists of Autodesk for some 3 months now. No solution to our problems yet. Only workarounds (deselect en reselect the project in the desktop connector every day, this is the way you should insert IFC files, etc ***) and promisses that the new desktop connector will end of of our issues. we receive udates of the desktop connector almost every month now. This is getting time consuming; we through away 3-4 hours every day ! It's unaccetable. Therfore I would like to ask the users, whether or not you have similar issues and perhaps some of you might have a thought / solution for this ? All thoughts are apreciated !

**; other ACC users within the project (not using revit) are getting crazy of all the revit files (.log, .ifc.RVT, .txt) that are being added to this IFC folder. last week, for one project, we even had a PM removing the files from ACC... Apparently, Autodesk is not able to move those to another folder or make them invisible.

***; this only resolves the issue with the not loaded files, but when trying to insert a new IFC file, the issue remains the same; not able to load. But it's ridiculous we all need to do that every day, to be able to start up in a normal way.

update : latest fix for desktop connector shows some improvement in regards to opening project with all files loaded, however, some of us are stil not able to add new IFC's to the model.
