Time to bring this to the masses...
Revit 2019.2.1 and later
Desktop Connector 10.0.0.832
We're working on the ability to insert views from other projects in the hub, as well as have a master library in BIM 30 as a project, where we can easily access our standards anywhere.
Doing this manually is pretty easy - you need to create a shortcut to your shared project by browsing to "This PC" in the open dialog, and then expanding BIM 360 > Project Hub > Project folder. You can drag and drop the project folder to your "Places" area, and when you're in a different project, you can use the shortcut to open the other project's models, families, etc.
Here's the rub - we want to be able to add this location to Places via the INI file or some other method. We have the location already stored in places (shows up as something similar to C:\Users\username\BIM 360\Project Hub\Project Folder, which is how the path appears if you select the actual shortcut) but for whatever reason, Places can't see this file.
The easy fix would be to get Autodesk to allow us to use the BIM 360 shortcut that's already in Places instead of having to path through the "file explorer" locations, but has anyone else figured out a way to set this as a default location?
