Security Gap in Android App?

A user has requested approval to download and use the Android mobile app for BIM360. Our analysis (using Lookout) indicates possible app communication with China, which would represent a policy use violation for us if true.

We wish to understand if this is a known security issue with this app, or if this is a known false positive.

Approval of the use of this app is dependent on getting to the bottom of this.

This reply seems to have nothing to do with my question.  I'm asking if there are any known security concerns with the BIM360 Android App.

Depends on how you look at it. Of course if your 10 year old Android phone is exposed to major exploits then too bad. But the sandboxing and MAC Android uses alone makes it more secure than a Windows/Linux PC where the program can basically do anything it wants. As far as I know, Linux has at least SELinux, AppArmor or Flatpak https://showbox.bio/ https://tutuapp.uno/ .
