Model Coordination problem with duplicate models

Hi there,

We are experiencing some abnormalities with BIM360 Model Coordination.

When pointed at a folder structure, where only one instance with versions of a Revit file exists. We have two instances of that file with different users as the owner/last contributor to that file(s)

In addition, there is an error message on the upper left corner that says the "Error loading the latest coordination data"

When the model is updated by drag-drop into Plans, it should update to a new version rather than creating a duplicate. It appears that the error most likely was due to the duplicate models existing in the coordination space.

To resolve this, I would delete the copy that is outdated from the Docs side, then to purge the duplicates totally from the coordination space you can delete the coordination space in that folder and then re-create it - once recreated the duplicates should no longer appear. At that point - if the error had been triggered by the coordination space reading the duplicate models, then the error should no longer show up. Have you tried this method yet?

Regards,

I haven't heard back from you in this thread so I wanted to check in and see if you had gone through the steps I mentioned in my previous post and if that had helped to resolve your issue. If so - please mark the post with 'Accept as Solution'. If you are still having an issue let me know. As I mentioned, when you re-upload the same exact file it shouldn't create that duplicate, it should only up-version the existing one.

It is partially resolved. It appears that you have to wait for the Model Coordination space to diagest it first then, it will show the correct model lists. However, it still seems to be a defective behaviour to show many instances of the same model when only one exists in the Docs folder.
