Getting Started With BIM 360 Design

Hi.

By using bim 360 we have uploaded the models to a folder organization in the document management but we can not see the models in desig collaboration, why is this? We have created the teams, assigned permits and nothing works.

@Anonymous Design Collaboration works hand in hand with Revit Cloud Worksharing (RCW). Uploading "manually" files to docs will not performe the required operations to make this available in Design Collaboration. The models have to be published through Revit using Cloud Collabroration.

Hi @martyn_messerli, Thanks for answering

The models have been uploaded through revit and worked in the cloud,
managing teams and assigning work folders, the models are still working and
works well for collaborative work but the design collaboration section is
not available.

Hi,

I think the problem is not how to upload the models, because we are
currently working in the cloud with different users and companies, so the
models have been correctly analyzed through Revit as the video shows, the
problem we have is that despite of that the design collaboration section is
not available since it does not detect any model and for the coordination
we need to use the hypermodeling option.

@Anonymous Seems like I have missunderstood the setup. Maybe you can share some further information when you say "but the design collaboration section is not available". Can you maybe share some screenshots?

The design collaboration menu looks like this.

It is in Spanish but says: No accessible equipment found. Contact the
project administrator. The administrator of the cloud is us as project
coordinators and in the menu of the administrator of licenses does not
mention anything of any error with the product or project.

Seems like uploading the picture failed.

Did you enable Design Collaboration in the Project Administrator for your account?

Hello @Anonymous ,

Did you have an opportunity to check the Design Collaboration service setting under the Project Admin section as suggested by @martyn_messerli ? If the service is already enabled as shown in the screenshot and you are still not able to access the Design Collaboration module, please try disabling then re-enabling the setting to see if that resolves this issue for you.

If recommendations provided by @martyn_messerli or myself are helpful in resolving this issue, please click the ACCEPT SOLUTION button.

Hello @Anonymous ,

If you took these steps and are still not able to access the Design Collaboration module, please confirm which web browser (if only one) is in use? Is the issue identical if you try multiple browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari)?

If the issue is consistent regardless of the browser, I think the next step is to try logging in using a different PC to see if the behavior is different. Are you able to create another test project with the same services enabled and reproduce this issue?

Thank you.

Hi, Sorry for the delay
The problem persists using different browsers, (google chrome, firefox,
explorer) and different PCs, it is also reflected in the test project
although in a different way, in this case you can see the interface of
design collaboration but no model in spite of the fact that 2 models have
been loaded in different equipment (Architecture and Structure) Annex

In Manage Models, when I display the tab to determine the main model,
the message appears: "no results were found"

@Anonymous There seems to be a problem with the screenshots. Can you maybe attach them instead of inserting them into the text?

@Anonymous :(. I wonder whether there is a scanner/firewall or so which blocks your screenshots, maybe this is related to the browser you are using?

I think the problem is that I answered directly from the mail and not from the forum, I hope you can see the screenshots.

1.

Design Collaboration Panel

bim 360 dc problemas.JPG

2. Mage Models in Project Admin.

in the select model tab, once displayed it says: no model is found

Do the Teams in Design Collaboration point to a Folder in Document Management that contains the Cloud Workshared Revit Models?
