DWG with xrefs

Customer is looking to move away from a server based setup and use BIM 360 docs to store all their dwg cad data.

There will be many projects 250+ quite a lengthy directory structure  which sometime include comma's in .

Customer uses LT and xrefs a lot. Normally the upload method would be to copy the top level file onto desktop connector and let it work out what else it needs to bring in. 

This page seems to indicate that LT use isn't supported at all for desktop connector.

So, is using LT with desktop connector supported ? Isn't a dwg just a dwg regarless of cad version? Why does that link above specify Autocad 2016 (64 bit) and above only?

Advice/answers on postcard pls !

Just tested this in AutoCAD LT 2021 and its working fine, all referenced files automaticlaly get added when using the desktop connector.

I have tried it with LT myself as has customer and has mixed results.

One user is on an old LT though (<2013) so perhaps that is an issue?

AutoCAD 2016 files or later only supported.
