Desktop Connector stuck in a Pending/Transferring loop

Hi there, I've just starting using and testing the Desktop Connector.

I downloaded and installed the latest version from the July-2018 release, which is version 6.2.0.674.  Installation went well, as did connecting to our enterprise hub.  No issues.

I dragged-and-dropped an 82 MB .step file into a Project Files subfolder within the Desktop Connector drive to test uploading a model.

The icon in the notification tray cycles back and forth between 'Transferring files', then a warning 'There are pending actions in the queue'.  After a bit it kicks in again attempting the transfer, then back to the warning again.

It's been 2 hours now.  Any ideas what's happening here?  Thx Autodesk.

(Note: Meanwhile, I dragged-and-dropped some pdf's via Chrome into a different subfolder in the same project, and it synced back locally to the Desktop Connector drive)

Just an update...

I killed the transfer via Desktop Connector after 3 hours of cycling between pending/transferring.  Then I did a drag-and-drop directly into the BIM 360 interface via Chrome and it took 8min.

Hello @jlane,

Thank you for posting to our forums!

With regards to the file you are attempting to upload, where is is located ? Is the source file in a folder on your local system, or is it in a shared/network location?

As for the Pending/Transferring loop issue you are having, do you see pending actions listed in the "Pending Actions" dialog? If so, can you try to right-click and select the "Apply All Actions" or "Clear All Actions" option(s) to see if this corrects the issue for you?

I look forward to your feedback.

Regards,

Thank you for the replies.

The step files were local, on my C:Drive.

Yes, I did try "Apply All Actions" during the initial attempt to upload, but that did not fix it.  Eventually, I used "Clear All Actions" to end the upload.

I have opened a case with regard to this, which the Engineers are looking into.  [CaseNo:14489338.]

This blank "Transferring files" dialog from Desktop Connector should not be visible.  However, we have found that if you have NVIDIA's nView Desktop Manager installed, it can cause this issue.
The workaround is to start nView Desktop Manager and click "Disable".
