Custom Parameter Field (Workpackage) Value Defaulting back to "Unspecified" after I select from dropdown list

I have noticed that when I have been assigning the clashes to a work package it has been resetting itself back to unassigned. Has anyone had similar issues?

I have attached video of the issues I am having. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
