Copy markups from one sheet to another?

Is there a way to copy drawing markups made on one PDF sheet to another within the BIM360 viewer?  When checking drawings I have similar notes that need to be retyped/redrawn every time I go to another sheet.  I know that I can copy text if I copy text within the text box and paste it within another text box on different sheet but would be great if text box would copy.  Also any mark up drawings using lines I can't figure out how to copy it over to another sheet.

Thanks!

Hi @ErikFrandsen ,

There's currently an option to copy and paste annotations within the same sheet, but not for copying and pasting to another sheet. We've captured this request for future consideration.
Just to get better clarity on where this might come in handy - are you performing design reviews? do you see this being useful elsewhere in your working process?

Thanks,
Doreen

Okay thanks!  Yes, this is useful for design reviews where you need to use the same notes/drawing markups on multiple sheets.

Hi,

Is there any solution yet in BIM 360 document management markup tool to copy markup from one sheet and paste it to another sheet?

The inability to copy markups from sheet to sheet is a major obstacle to efficiently markup drawings. Has this been resolved yet?

Not that I am aware of. Our team is utilizing BIM 360 and copy markups from one sheet to another will make a huge difference to our process.

has there been any movement on this since the last post in july 2020?  as was stated before, there's a significant amount of time consumed re-typing the same note across many sheets, copying and pasting from one sheet to another is going to save a massive amount of time.  thx

How does it take Autodesk so long to add essential features such as this one? As a Digital Engineering Lead it is very difficult to convince my Team to use BIM 360 Docs as a platform of choice when competitive platforms provide better features. Very disappointing.

We recently determined we could not use the BIM 360 markup tool do to it not have a way to copy/paste markups.  This is unacceptable and needs to be added asap!

If you think not having the ability to copy markups from one sheet to another is bad wait till you create room boundings on one sheet and then realize you cant copy those to another sheet!

I spent hours tagging links to several sheets. Since then we have received updated plans. Those tags do not transfer to the current up to date sheet. Is there really no way to copy the markups from an old sheet to the updated one? This seems like a simple feature that would save someone like me hours of work. Hopefully I am wrong and this feature is included, but I have not figured out how.

It would be great if mark-up tools were like those in bluebeam. There are apps that can import mark-ups from bluebeam, but it would be great if a set of drawings could be reviewed as a multiple pages in one file with a comprehensive set of mark-up tools in BIM 360.

More to the point, maybe Bluebeam should be a replacement to B360...

i like bluebeam, but it doesn't do tracking, neither markups or "issues" style. wish bluebeam could be linked to ACC.

Hi Doreen, I'd also like to see this ability. the sooner the better please. If we could also have the ability to view markups of previous versions on the current version that would also be great. The purpose of a markup is to review the document and then check it against preceding versions to establish if the markup has been addressed or not. without that capability it makes the process almost not worth it

Hi, has there been any progress in the copy-paste feature for markups between sheets?

Thanks

Just adding the following popular Idea that is related to this thread.

360 Docs - Markups: Copy and Paste Functionality

But too be honest, the document/Docs UI needs to be vastly improved to allow document multi-tasking. So that multiple documents/pages can be opened at the same time, and so they can be navigated fluently to allow a much better review process that would allow markups to more easily be copied from one to another.
