Can't download One model instead downloads all linked files simultaneously

Hi,

For months now i've been having issues with downloading models from 360 and the Construction Cloud.

Sometimes i just want to download a single file. Instead 360 and CC force me to download all linked files as well. This goes automatically.

You can select a single file to download by check marking the model. However, neither 360 nor CC will download just that model. It'll also download all linked files.

This doesn't only take unnecessary time to download, it also takes unnecessary space on my hard drives.

I'd like to be able to just select a single model via the check mark system, and just download that single model. without anything else.

Open the model, detach from central and "Save as".

The Autodesk Replication Tool for Docs will help with this using the Direct Download option.

It's a great tool with many features, of which the Direct Download option is what I use most to work around the BIM 360 linked file limitation. Makes downloading the files much easier and faster. It allows you to view inside those .ZIP.RVT files and extract individual models. Kudos to the dev team working on this.

According to the following knowledge page, you will need to contact your Autodesk rep to gain access.

That's a workaround that takes far too much time.

On the construction cloud you are already able to check mark the models, this only works for deleting the models individually.

It should also work to download models individually. Whether they're collaborated and linked should not be an issue.

It's not a workaround if it's the only way to do it. As far as time is concerned, you're going to have to detach from central at some point anyway.

@m-de-lange This is how BIM 360/ACC works. When you download a model, it downloads the latest published version and any links. With the release of 2023.1 back on November 15th, Autodesk introduced the ability to publish a model without links but only in 2023. Like someone else mentioned, you will have to open it and save as to your computer if you just want a single model in any other version of Revit.
