BIM 360 Model Coordination Logging Me Out During Use

BIM 360 will log me out when I am in the middle of running clash within Model Coordination preventing me from assigning issues until I refresh the model coordination page (which takes me to the login page), and then log back in. It's incredibly frustrating to have BIM 360 log you out while you are actively using the project. Where is the workaround?

I have also experienced this issue.  it seems to be related to idle time triggering a timeout of the login.  If for example another member takes the screen during a meeting and then I take it back later, 360 will often log me out.

This happens to me with anything in BIM 360.

Sometimes I want to add someone to the project. When I go to the project then go to Admin and Members-  that's when it decides to sign me out. When I sign back it, it has sent me to a different project, not the one I was about to add people so I've added people to the wrong project because of this weird glitch!

Im having the same issue. Its concerning that Autodesk hasnt fixed this, and hasnt even commented on this since it was originally posted - over a year ago! Any updates Autodesk?

As far as I know, there is no update on this issue. I think this is a planned situation, not a problem. Since there are cloud products and products available from every device, they may have written a timeout rule instead of setting a device limit.

The problem is that I go to the Members section of a project to add someone and that's when it asks me to sign in again and once I do, it takes me to a different project so I have added people to wrong projects by mistake.

Also, it log's me out every hour even though I set it to keep me signed in so it doesn't seem like it is keeping me signed in, which is not "planned". If they had it planned that way, they wouldn't give me the option to stay signed in.

Hi @andresmontemayor ;

Of course, it's ridiculous that it exits while the account is active. Of course, I do not accept this.

However, if there is a continuous login process on another device, this is a common problem in systems managed with sign-in sign-on, and this is not just within the scope of Autodesk. and this is how it works because they are usually written with timeout rules. Aside from the details, the main question that should be asked is:

1- Is the open account on another device? The best solution is to change the password and sign in again.

2- The current IP network may have a blocker on ACC web routes, which may kick you out of the system. To understand this, enter the system with a completely different password from a completely different IP and do your checks.

If the problem still persists, I agree with you 100% at this point, there is a problem in the system, and at this stage, I suggest you move the issue to Autodesk Contact team. Or if you are working with a partner you open a case through Autodesk Partner

By the way, apart from all these, the Model Coordination tool has a lot of problems (in coordination spaces loading file freezes are the part that drives me crazy the most) but I have never encountered sign-in problem in the my projects before. Therefore, I can only make a few guesses based on the above problems.

Completely agree.

I currently only log in with my work computer so there isn't any other device.

I did reach out to Autodesk some time ago and they say it's part of their security measures which is not acceptable. They said to post it on the Ideas graveyard if I wanted the functionality to change 😕

Oh well!

Autodesk is implementing new features based on submitted ideas and has been doing it for some time.

My "favorite" was allowing demolished objects to retain their system information.

No doubt, and that's fantastic! I think the previous post was attempting to express the frustration that ordinary bug reports are being offloaded by customer support teams to a bulletin board with little chance of a quick resolution rather than making an attempt to address the issue directly and immediately.
