BIM 360 Docs reviews won't allow markups if a document has been revised

We have a situation where a series of documents are currently in a review process, the period of the review is still open for the reviewers to comment and mark-up, however one of the suppliers has updated one of the documents currently under review so where the review lists v1, the current version is now v2, subsequently the reviewers are no longer able to markup and comment on the v1 version in the review.

We have tried making the v1 the current version, however it hasn't been reflected within the review, so the review process effectively considers the previous version redundant.

The only solution I can think of is to start a new review with the v1 version of the document, invite comments on it and following closure of the review make the v2 back to the current version.

Obviously it's not ideal that the supplier has revised a document whilst it is under review, but it has happened, what BIM 360 Docs needs is a workflow process where documents are read only whilst they are under review and this wouldn't happen.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation and do you perhaps have a better solution?

Thanks,

Chris

This is only way you can do this, reviews are linked to the document that was instigated with the review.

I can appreciate that the review is locked to the version that was instigated in the review, but in this scenario a supplier has subsequently updated a version before all comments are received in the review and now reviewers are no longer able to comment. We would have liked for all reviewers to be able to finish their comments and mark-ups on the version under review regardless of the fact the supplier has created a new version.
