BIM 360 Docs as alternative to ACONEX in Design Phase

Dear All,

Our most of the projects are Design - Bid, we currently having ACONEX for file sharing.

I found it is very complicated, also most are not actively involved because of its complication.

I found BIM Docs has simple user UI, i assume that most of the team member find it easy to use.

Is BIM Docs 360 can be used at Design stage of the project, For milestone submission ? Also model sharing and file sharing for weekly coordination meeting?

For model sharing/coordination I would use C4R, for reviewing and discussion I would use Glue

It's not only about the model, there are many types of files which to be exchanged during the design phase with all stakeholders.  

Example, BOQ information, specification sheets.

SharePoint would be a better option as this will support every file type.

Hi,

BIM 360 Docs supports managing and sharing many file types (and provides PDF, RVT, DWG, DWF, IFC, and other design file viewing, as well as image viewing).  We plan to add viewing support for Office files in the near future (but you can manage and securely share Office files in Docs today).
