BIM 360 - ASSETS

Hi all,

I noticed that there is a attribute field called "Model" under each asset.

What exactly is it used for?

Would i be able to link the asset to my 3D model in Revit?

Appreciate your responses.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for asking this.

I think this specific "Model" field is a text field, so you can't really append a model using it. It's generally for specifying the model name/number as a reference.

If you go to Project Admin > Services Tab (top menu) > Assets (left menu) > Custom Attributes, you can see that by default, "Model" is a text field:

On the other hand, if you're asking how to add attachments from BIM 360 documents for Assets, please visit Managing Assets article - it could clarify a lot!
