BIM 360 Asset Module Help

I am looking for tutorials, videos, anything that covers importing asset info into BIM 360 Assets. The provided spreadsheet from download does not allow for "custom" attributes. You can't add additional columns. It errors out on import.  Not sure how you pre-poplulate the spreadsheet. How do you get your Revit data into the Assets? Create a schedule, export it to Excel, and then what?  It wants to use the spreadsheet format exactly as the download sample.

The tutorials I have found glance over the import function and focuses more on what you can do afterwards.

Thanks

Hello @tkeyser5 ,

Thank you for contacting us. Here is the link to the product knowledge page that gives most of the instructions on how to set up and use the module.

The import option for assets is to help populate a quick list of assets to BIM360. You can include most standard field in the excel sheet to be imported. The format and columns from the sample excel sheet cannot be modified. Any custom attributes will have to be updated in BIM360.  You will need to copy the assets from the Revit exported schedule to the sample import .xlsx downloaded from BIM360. The video in the knowledge page on integration with Assemble might help with the process.

Also, currently, there is no direct integration with a 3D model in the Asset module, The best way to link to a model is through Assemble.

Hope this information helps. Please feel free to contact me should you have additional questions.

Thank you

Hallo Sree,

When do you foresee the posibility of linking the modell with the Assets within BIM 360? (not via Assemble)

Thank you in advance
