Task Logic

Does BIM 360 Plan contain task logic that will automatically change the dates of dependent tasks when a primary task date is edited?

As BIM 360 Plan is a short term, interval planning solution that relies on high-touch interactions to work through plan changes, we do not automatically change dependent tasks in sequence.

I believe adding this feature in BIM 360 Plan would help Customers to avoid simultaneous usage of several project planning tools and de-syncs between it.

The strategy for Plan is to focus on short-term product planning needs.  We don't see Plan as a replacement for CPM scheduling products.  That said, we have gotten some requests from customers to apply a very simple type of logic between activities.  In general, the request is to give the user the option to automatically adjust the finish dates of "down-stream" activities when an "up-stream" activity is rescheduled.

While Plan currently has the ability to adjust the finish date of a group of activities at once, making this more automatic would make this process easier for our users.

Which planning tools are you interested in avoiding?
