New user login process for Docs

I am logging this on behalf of a customer, see below for verbatim:

"There is no way to add a member to a project folder until they have logged in.  This leads to confusion to new users.  Can we invite them to the project and then once they're invited add them to folders?  I think this would streamline the whole process of introducing new users to the product."

The user is requesting the ability to add members to folders at the same time that they invite the new member to the project to streamline the process.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion.  In the mean time, here is a suggestion:  if you create roles and assign permission to the roles, then when you add a new user and assign that user to a role, the user will get immediate access to the project folders that the role has been assigned.

Further to this it would be great for the help to have a page with flow chart and screen shot of the emails generated in the new user/project invite process (for the core and each module) we can use to instruct new invitees. So they know what they will get when and not dismiss as spam.

How does one Add a Role and assign permissions? I see that I can set a role for each person I invite (Architect Contractor etc) but not where I can assign different doc permissions to that role? I still have to select each folder and assign a permission level for each person after they activate the invite.
