Member Admin - provide easier interface for editing user information

When cleaning up a user database, it can be quite time consuming to edit the default role and company of users. the interface only allows you to edit one user at a time and you have to consistently scroll to your previous location on the user list once you make an edit.

 

other items I think might be helpful for admins with large user lists: The ability to filter users by project names or other meta data like role, permission settings, etc.  Just something to make managing the user list a bit easier. 

 

Also the BIM360 API doesn't allow for the reimport and change of much of the users' data.

I agree.  Members get added to projects, but it's a pain to set companies and roles (which in turn takes longer and offers opportunity for error each time they are added to additional projects).  

 

Adding "Set Default Role" and "Set Default Company" to the "More Actions" dialog would make a big difference, it would be quick to select multiple users and change their information.

 

I would also like a mechanism, perhaps when editing a company, to specify the domain name and check a box that assigns every new user whose email has that domain name to that default company.  Most companies have uniformity in email names, and it would reduce the management time required.

Yes, please. The inability to bulk edit the master "Members" or "Companies" lists in Account Administration, and again for users in Project Administration is maddening.  We're relatively small in our list of users (169) - I can only imagine the mess that exists in the "Member" administration list for a large GC like Skanska or Turner to try and fix/clean up.

 

And, to add one more, how about setting my own default role on a project.  Since I create every project in our system, and by default and the first admin on the project, I don't actually get assigned the role that is set as my "default role" under account administration.  Instead, it lists me with no role at all.

I think so too.
It is a pity that the developers have not yet supported it since it was posted.
I really hope that features will be added soon.
