On the BIM360 Field App it is currently setup to be able to select options such as "Project Data", "Issues", "Checklists", "Library", etc.  for syncing to the iPad.  It would be useful to be able to select certain folders or files within the library to sync instead of the whole thing.  Some project's libraries can be rather large and depending on internet connection speed, it may take a while to sync the whole library and it may not be necessary.  Therefore, it would be useful and more efficient if we were able to select which folders/files within the library are synced. Our estimating department along with project executives and other departments are looking to go back into our archives of previously completed projects to look for information on issues, staffing, lessons learned, etc.  Currently the only way we can do this is to either make them a system administrator so they can look up every project on their own or ask them for a list of projects and individually add them to each project.  Neither of these is a good option or very efficient.    It would be very useful to set some kind of system viewing permission to certain users so they could open up and look at any project in our database and even run reports from those project, but not be able to make any changes or start receiving notifications.  This could also be used for outside consultants and auditors who are doing a review of past project performances or even for creating "training" projects so users could look at and review preferred project documentation and workflows Show More

Right now for archiving and other reporting purposes, we run a sheduled report weekly that compiles that weeks worth of checklists and sends them out.  The current set up all checklists are combined into a single PDF.  It would be much more beneficial if the resulting report sent each checklist as an individual PDF.  So if you ran a report that contained 5 concrete checklists, you'd get 5 PDF files instead of one.  It does seem that Autodesk are only interested in the progression of the Glue product.  The only "in progress" items are for the Glue suggestions. Having just looked through the website there are lots of useful ideas for the BIM360 field application that would make it easier to use.   My idea is for autodesk to start acting on the ideas put forward by the 360 field users aswell!     Show More

It would be helpful to be able to select multiple issues at once from a certain location within one file.   Right now, you can only bulk select issues to review or edit them from the "List" section of a certain location (or you can set report parameters to review issues, but mostly this is too time-consuming for the particular task). Often I would like to look at the "Pins" on a drawing, and select all of the pins isolated to a certain part of the plan, facade, etc. and edit only those. Right now, the only way to do this is to select each pin one-by-one to edit, or manually jot down the issue number associated with the pin. A better way would be to have a "click and drag" type option to select multiple pins. Show More

When scheduling auto reports to be emailed to all subcontractors on the project, there needs to be an easier way (or change the default) to only send the subcontractors issues that affect them.  Currently, the default is the send out a master report to all subs for ALL issues on the project, whether or not they are affected by it.  99.999% of the time, I would not want a subcontractor to have other subs issues on the list - it would be confusing to them and much more difficult to track down only their issues.   The only way to fix this is to create a special report for each subcontractor on the job, which seems complicated and difficult for something that should be the default anyways.     Please either change the default or have a quick option to only send out issues affecting the corresponding subcontractors receiving a report. Is there any way to expand the size of the checklist comments section when filling out a checklist? Only being able to view 2-ish lines at a time makes for a difficult time compiling a meeting agenda in our checklist templates. Show More

Per conversation with James Bryant (Support):   From customer perspective it could be beneficial if when we filter the Equipment log by a particular type then we create a new record using that filter then the default value that populates on new record should be based on that search parameter. This could be beneficial when creating many new records which need to be automatically associated to location, type, or whatever search parameters you enter. Show More

Hi,   It would be far easier from a usability point of view that when attachments have been added to elements, you can select an object in the model and see what attachments are associated in the properties palette, rather than using the attachment dialog box.   Regards,   Kevin Show More

Currently on the iPad version of BIM 360 glue you do not have an option to create saved views. you can only view previously created views that were saved fromt he desktop version. you should be able to save views on the iPad app. Show More

I would like to be able to Glue models from Navisworks in "Shaded" mode rather than "Full Render" mode.   OR   I would like the ability to change the display mode in Glue.   I prefer to glue models from Navisworks over Revit because of the added grid visibility but Navisworks only seems to glue models in "Full Render" mode - even if I switch it to Shaded mode and then Glue, Navisworks automatically switches it back. When I glue from Revit, I don't have this problem and the Shaded visual style appears in Glue. We are a Main Contractor and I am dealing with models from all disciplines - the majority of which use default material appearance settings in Revit. We ask our design consultants to follow a standard trade colour schedule (mostly for visual identification of services) and adjust their material graphics "shading" colours in Revit to suit but we don't specify material "appearance" settings as we like to keep this realistic for rendering.   Cheers   Rob Show More
