Markup - hidden setting for elements lost in BIM 360 Glue?

Hidden status of elements in a merged model markup were lost after closing/reopening a project.  As far as I can tell, no one accessed the Glue model since the markup was created.  Hidden status of elements was retained during my last session in the model as I had closed and then reopened the markup several times during the session.

Any thoughts on how the hidden status of elements in a markup might have been lost and how to avoid future issues is appreciated.

Thank you,

Anil:

Thank you for indicating interest in this issue.

Below is an image showing the BIM 360 Markup view from 2018-08-01 (image is from an email sent that day).  The pre-marked up view was a Shared View exported from Navisworks Manage 2017.  The Navis view basis was a grouped Clash Detective result with all non-clashing elements hidden.  The Navis view had both top and bottom section planes active.

The BIM 360 Markup seemed fine during the session when the markup was created.  The session included closing/reopening the view several times with no notable problems (other than taking several minutes to load which seems to be same for all shared views authored in Navisworks that include color and/or transparency overrides).

Below is an image of same markup from current BIM 360 Glue - all "hide" setting for elements appear to have been lost.

Issue with slow BIM 360 Glue load times of exported Navisworks views remains.  The lower image above took approximately four minutes to open in BIM 360 Glue.

Looks like loss of graphic overrides in markup views has been a known issue since 2014:

Dependence on BIM 360 Glue graphic overrides to be maintained in markup views appears to be an invalid workflow.  Any corrections to this assumption are appreciated.

When you fix the path for a missing external reference, you can now apply the same path for other missing reference files. When you save the host drawing in a new location, you are prompted to update the relative paths for the external references. The Change Path Type option in the External References palette now reflects the current path type when a single external reference is selected. The current path type is not accessible, which lets you know which path type is current. You can attach references with Relative Path type for unnamed files.

Loss of visibility overrides occurs when updating Glue models through Revit.  Models are not being saved to a new location that I'm aware of.  I do not recall a prompt to update relative paths during the Glue model update process.

Please clarify thoughts on how the Glue process might cause path issues resulting in loss of graphic overrides in Glue Markups.

Thank you for interest in this issue.  Joe M in WV
