Error communicating with BIM 360

When I attempt to refresh or save a merged model I receive this error.  Others that have access to the model are dealing with the same issue.  On the same hand, there are others that don't have this issue.  The workaround is to re-open the merged model.  This is extremely frustrating when I've saved viewpoints or created clash/search sets.

Hi,

I have continuously experienced this and it just happened now. My first attempt at fixing it clearing the cache files as instructed by Autodesk but it doesn't fix it and I have to close the file. This causes me to lose resolved issues. Please help!

Thanks,

Hernaldo

Hi @hmendoza,

Thank you for participating in our Community!!!! Would you be able to provide more information like when are you seeing this error message? Do you have good network connection? Can you login to BIM 360 Glue successfully?

Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

Hi Anil,

I am always wired in and have excellent network connection. I also run BIM 360 Glue (always logged in) and Navisworks at the same time as consultants are updating models and we coordinate live. Maybe it runs into problems when multiple people are updating to Glue at the same time?

Thanks,

Hernaldo

Hi @hmendoza,

That could be the possibility. Please, make sure to try it during different time, if you are still seeing this behavior then let me know and will log support case for further investigation.

Thank you and have a great day!

I am having this same issue even when no other person is accessing the file. Was there a solution found this scenario?

The only workaround I could come up with is to save the file as a local file, make the edit that I need to make and then overwrite the file on Glue.  I only get this error when I've been in the merged model for an extended period of time and appended models are updated.  I've noticed that if I refresh often I can avoid the error from occurring.

I hope this helps.

Is there still no solution to this issue? It is happening more often than not when trying to save a merged model in Navisworks.
