Autodesk BIM 360 Glue Can Not Create Module

I am using Autodesk BIM 360 Glue for desktop.  Whenever I try to use Mark-Ups, or Measurments, or Clash I get a message that says "Can Not Create Module"

Why is this happening?

Hi,

I have not seen this error before, it looks like it is having problems loading the features you are selecting, it could be an installation issue, could you perhaps try uninstalling Glue Desktop and re-install?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi -

To add to Dave's suggestion, please try the following steps to uninstall and re-install Glue Desktop:

  1. Uninstall programs related to Glue: Autodesk BIM 360 Glue, Autodesk BIM 360 Glue Launcher, and Autodesk BIM 360 Viewer.
  2. Copy and paste this to your Windows browser: %localappdata%\Autodesk\ and delete all folders that has Glue in its name.
  3. Copy and paste this to your Windows browser: %localappdata%\Apps\2.0 and delete all its contents.  Do not worry it will be reinstalled later.
  4. Restart the computer.
  5. Re-install Glue Desktop:  Download  from https://b4.autodesk.com/desktop or from https://b4.autodesk.com/BIM360Glue64bit/setup.exe  run the installation using Internet Explorer.

Restarting the computer is not necessary but I recommend it.

I hope this helps.

Welcome Scott.  First thing I notice is that your models list is not showing despite the Toolbar indicating it should be.  Please try this to fix both issues.

Go up to your profile drop down and select Options.  On the options screen press the "Restore BIM 360 Toolbar Defaults" button.  The screen should flash and your models listing should appear.  Position/Dock it back as desired and then try opening one of the other tools that was throwing that error message.

Let us know if this fixes the issue for you.

Thanks,

Hello Frederick,

Your solution worked for me two times.

After I followed your steps, my modules came back.

THanks,

Moses
