Using BIM360 Field API without setting up "Custom Integration"

Hi! We would like to batch download information saved in BIM360 Field (Issues with files attached to them, files in library, etc.) programmatically using BIM 360 API. However, it seems that the Account Admin needs to approve the custom integration in order to get token. Would there be any way to download it without having the approval?

Cloud based systems you will get corrupted models eventually. This is due to the cloud services file syncing interfering with revits. VPN can work but can be slow and unreliable, prone to corruption as well. Remote Desktop or thin client can work especially with a dedicated service. Autodesk doesn’t provide some type of basic cloud model sharing with revit subscriptions. We’re using BIM360 as such and ignoring most of the convoluted extra features https://tutuapp.uno/ .

Unfortunately, it's not possible to download information from BIM360 Field without having a custom integration approved by the Account Admin. This is a security measure to protect sensitive data within the platform.

However, there are a few alternative approaches you could consider:

  1. Manual Download: While less efficient, you could manually download files from BIM360 Field one by one. This might be suitable for smaller datasets or if you don't need to automate the process.
  2. Third-Party Integrations: There might be third-party tools or services that offer integration with BIM360 Field and allow for batch downloading. Research and explore these options to see if they meet your specific requirements.
  3. Request Approval: If you believe that batch downloading is essential for your workflow and won't compromise security, you can request approval from your Account Admin. Clearly explain the benefits and how you plan to use the downloaded data.

Remember: Always prioritize security and data privacy when working with BIM360 Field. If you have any further questions or need more assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to Autodesk support.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
