Sub-Equipment to track components of a piece of equipment

Sub-equipment types (of an already created piece of equipment) would be usefull to track individual components of the overall equipment that have to be tested seperately or undergo a critical process prior to the overall equipment being checked out, energized, etc. I'm picturing that there would be a seperate tab in each equipment that said "associated equipment" and list those sub components. When you click on those, you get the same standard equipment fields.

For example, we have distribution and branch panels on a large hospital build that all have at least a few breakers in each panel that have to be removed from the panels after arriving at the subs warehouse, sent off for 3rd party testing, then shipped to site to be re-installed in the same panel. The installing electrician must verify that this has been completed for those panels prior to proceeding with his/hers checklists in B360Field. The panels are each a piece of equipment that is tracked in B360 Field. The breakers for that panel would be associated with that equipment and those tracked as well. Currently we have over 150+ breakers that have to be tracked.

Right now we are just creating the breakers as individiaul piece of equipment and "tieing" them back to the panels using a custom property and filtering as such.

Hello Ryan,

Thank you for participating in our community!

At this time BIM 360 Field doesn’t have ability to create separate tab in each equipment records for associated equipment. This is an enhancement request and if you have any feedback that you would like to submit regarding any enhancement, please click on the “BIM 360 IdeaStation” link on the BIM 360 community home page.  This will help the Project Manager and developers hear your voice on any changes/concerns with functionality directly for consideration in future builds.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you and have a great day!

Best regards,
