Mandatory Issue Fields

We have just noticed that on the Ipad app you can create an Issue without completing the Mandatory Fields. Is there a way to actually make them mandatory as i can see this causing problems further down the line especially with reporting.

Hi Luciane,

I have updated BIM360Field app, raised blank issue and synced it with no problems so it doesn't seem like the issue was resolved. I think it is essential to have this feature embedded in iPad app.

Hi Jakub,

Mandatory Fields generally need to be completed so an issue can be closed. They don't need to be completed so an issue can be opened.

From our experience of quite a few projects, it doesn't really cause a problem. In fact it's quite helpful.

It enables site operatives to set up issues quickly using the iPad and attach some relevant pictures, then they will complete them when they are next back in the site office.

Until they add a recipient company, nobody is informed of the issue creation and if an incomplete issue is accidentally sent out, the recipient will usually respond with a comment asking for more detail.

The mandatory Fields help us most in getting the issues completed so they can be closed out.

Although what works for our company doesn't necessarily work for everyone.
