Hi Andy,

Thanks for the feedback.  Project Templates are on the product roadmap. I have heard requests for folders and permissions (including roles / permissions) but are you also suggesting that title blocks from one project should be re-usable in another project?

Best Regards,

HI Andy -

Thanks for the quick clarification. We haven't heard the request for title blocks to be part of a project template, so we will need to investigate.

I would agree with Andy.

I also agree with Andy.  You replied to him back in March that it is on the roadmap, now that it is the end of July, what it the ETA on this.

It just took my entire day to create 20 projects, create the same folders in each of the projects, add the same companies (which include departments within our company to control permissions), click on each of the folders and add the appropriate permissions to each of the folders.

Templates need to be as usable as cloning a project in Buzzsaw.

You need to be able to have a Template that will pre-load the folder structure, roles and companies (not users), and permissions for each folder, as well as title blocks.

The reason for the title blocks is because many of the projects will use the same title blocks.  Currently you need to define the same title block over and over.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the feedback.  Project templates are on the near-term roadmap, and while I can't quite comment on exact timing, I can assure you that we understand the importance of templates so that you can quickly and efficiently set up new projects.

Joan Allen

Hi Terry,

I have recently created a Project Template that is available via PROJECT TYPE > SAMPLE> Template Project. However I am unable to use my template to create a new project. I understand that it is on list of near-term Road Map and hoping to see this feature soon. I will also like to see the feature to be able to MOVE folders with in or with another Project.
