Any Contacts at ADN on here?

Hello Everyone,

I'm attempting to develop a small script for our company that uploads a model to glue automatically. I have run into the issue of obtaining an API key and was wondering if anyone at Autodesk could connect me with a rep from ADN?

According to our Autodesk rep, I must pay for an ADN membership just to receive this key, but on the linked website, it says this information is available to any developers that might be interested.

Can anyone clarify or point me to the correct person?

Thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

You can find the contact info. here:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=473880

or

go to http://www.autodesk.com/joinadn

and follow the link "Contact Us".

(refresh browser if you see 404).

I will be also happy to talk with you if you give me your contact info. You should be able to send me a private message on this system.

As written on the page, Glue product team does not allow to use production environment for development purpose:

"We also do not provide keys to the host that you are using in production environment. This is to protect your data. When you are starting with the API, we will give you a “sandbox”, a test project site that you can play with the API. Once your application is ready for production usage, we will provide keys to your own host, of course."

for example, we had a customer who tried to do stress test on clouds!  That affected other customers. Key generation is also manual.  After we move to Forge, we will have a more control for API usage and scale.

I hope this explains at least.
