Adding Custom Attributes to a Document through BIM360 API - Resource doesn't exist

Hello Everyone,

I've just started working with BIM360 APIs and everything was going fine until I tried to add custom attributes to a given document. I followed all steps covered at official tutorial (https://forge.autodesk.com/en/docs/bim360/v1/tutorials/document-management/update-custom-attribute-v...  but when I call POST custom-attributes:batch-update endpoint, API response is "the resource doesn't exist" .

{
    "developerMessage": "The requested resource does not exist.",
    "errorCode": ""
}

All the values (projectid and versionid) are proper from other calls being done against the API.

Did anyone faced the same and any there is any other approach to create custom attributes?

Cheers,

Kleber

Hi @Anonymous ,

It has been a while since you posted this question. Sorry for letting you wait. Does this API work now? if not, could you try with my test script of Postman to verify the steps?

https://github.com/xiaodongliang/forge-bim360-docs.api-postman.collection

With my experience, the most possibilities may be some typo in the url when you called the endpoint, or it may happen the version urn does not exist in this project. anyway, please try to check if my Postman script could work. If not, feel free to update this post or contact us by [email protected] .

Hi @xiaodong_liang,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've got this working - the problem was with the URL encoding at the version parameter on API call. I've already downloaded your postman collection and appreciate your support to the community.

Cheers,
