Voxelizing the scene producing a nice effect, is it possible to have the same resolution for the whole scene rather than more res from the centre outwards?testaa.jpg

Hi,

You can use the bandwidth parameter on convert to volume to extend the fine resolution, but away from the fine resolution, the resolution will gradually become coarser because we use adaptive data structures. Be aware that extending the bandwidth will be more costly in terms of memory and computation time.

Cheers,

Michael

netw.jpgSorry, I use that network, with fog density 0, any idea where I should connect the node you are saying?

I see.

In that case it's not directly supported.

However, there's a way to force the solver to refine inside a given domain in the following way:

(1) Set the "Kill Voxel Fog Treshold" parameter on the aero solver settings to zero.

(2) Set up a second source air node which takes as input geometry the region in which you wish to fully refine.

(3) In the second source air node, set the fog density to a very low number such that it doesn't show up in the renderer (e.g. 0.00001). Use the add mode. Toggle Use End Frame on. Set temperature to zero.

Note that this will slow the solver down considerably since there are now large empty regions, but at least it should hopefully allow you to experiment with this.

Cheers,

Michael
