VDB Metadata?

Does a VDB file have some kind of Metadata like an EXR file?

Id like to know whats inside without loading 1gb of data into bifrost.

Any info about stored channels and voxels would be great.

Watchpoints are really slow if the source data is that big.

Hi,

Our VDB files do have some metadata which you can probe with the various tools that ship with OpenVDB.

If you simply want to see the list of properties stored with an aero sim, or a combustion or particle sim for example, you can just do a really low res sim for one frame and look at the list in the watchpoint.

Thanks,

Kosta
