time node - creating geo on every frame

Hi, this is probably a super simple question but I couldn't find an answer via searching the forums.

So I have a time node and plug its frame into the y position of a create mesh cube. When I hit play I can

see the cube move up one unit per frame.

The question: What do I have to do, to keep the geo of each previous frame. In other words. When I play 10 frames,

I want to end up with 10 cubes on top of each other.

In general it would be really cool to see more time based examples. Like creating a ghosting tool for anim, etc...

Cheers

S

You need to use feedback ports. See this graph:

Thanks!

This kind of works, but the resulting bif is black and flickers. Also, it plays through once and the next time round the geo won't animate, it will just be the final bif object.

If you provide a scene file, I can have a look.

The file below should create an upside down "pyramid" by moving the cube up one unit per frame and also setting the width and length to the current frame number.

What I would like is for this to animate, so when the playback starts over at frame 1 I can see it building again.

I am also getting a lot of crashes with this file. For instance when playing and tumbling the viewport or sometimes just playing. Maybe it is creating the object over and over again and it is building it on top of itself and that's why it is black and crashes?

Many thanks!

you can use equal node w/ if node to test if current time is on frame 1.
