source_air with uv

Hi I have some aero sim that I want to convert to mesh.  How can I get the mesh with UVs from the emitting object? Imagine something like lava. But I need to do it with bifrost aero.

Hi @kawom

There's a new simulation compound called "source_uvw_coordinates" which is still in early days. It plugs into the per voxel properties on the source, all you have to do specify is its name. It allows you to create and advect uvw coordinates for the aero simulation.  Note that even though it plugs into the source, it is is not a per source property, but rather a UWV map for the entire aero sim.  This workflow will be updated in the next beta release.

Thanks,

Kosta
