math things

is it possible to just use bifrost as like a math node to replace mel, or the need to use external math nodes for basic math things?

for example using nodes like sin() or a modulo ?

if so, how would i create a port to output a value?

Yes.

There are many math related nodes. You can create input and output using a value node, and set the data type as float, for example.
