Is this an acceptable way of passing vector array?

I recently asked a question about how to pass vector array data from Maya to Bifrost and found a solution.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/bifrost-forum/how-to-retrieve-each-element-from-maya-array-attribute/...

But since I can't find any documentation, I can't decide if this is the recommended method or not.
Is this the correct way to pass a vector array?

It looks like the forum post linked has the answer. It's not what I'd call strictly intuitive, but if it works then that's how to do it. BiFrost gives users low level tools to accomplish these types of tasks. So it's not surprising that for certain complex data types you have to go about extracting their data in creative ways.
