Bifrost Particle Simulation Freezes System

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Windows 10, Maya 2019

Core i9 (3.6 8-core), 32GB, RTX2060, 1 Boot Drive, 1 'Data' Drive.

Using Bifrost for the first time, so if there are "better than Autodesk Knowledge Base" links, happy to review.

Tried to use particle simulation to do 3D foam effect.  Grinded the system badly.  Froze/locked up for some minutes.  Eventually able to take control again, but heavily sluggish.  Had to do full restart.

Looking for advice all around... Is hardware not sufficient?  Is there project/system setting should be checking?  Are there bifrost specific settings should be checking (something that a new user might readily set too high and make life problematic).

Cheers.
