Revit 2015 UR 14 for R2 internal error with msp extraction

I've slipstreamed the service pack updating process as part of our corporate project launching tool.  Whenever an architect launches a prroject using our tool, the build is checked against the required list and if their chosen revit build is not up to date, the routine will prompt them to click ok to install the latest service pack or web update release, before it copies a new local file and launches Revit for them.  This has been a life saver with the proliferation of patches to the 2015 products.  When I extracted the latest update #14 and updated the launch tool, the msp installer will not correctly install on one of our machines.

It throws internal error 2920, then throws Error 1712.

The machine in question is a Dell 5810 running Windows 7 64bit.

I tried it twice using the launch tool.  I rebooted the machine. I tried again using the launch tool. I tried by double clicking the msp directly.  I always got the errors shown above.

I don't want push my updated launch tool until this is resolved for obvious reasons.

Thanks for the help.

I've attached the install logs.

Hello,

I have the exact same error (Internal Error 2920, empty D53D7C22_D946_4B75_9B91_DA5476E29581), but for me it is upon installing Revit. I am running Windows 10.

Any idea if this is an Autodesk/Revit installation file or if this is a Microsoft one ? (I don't get the second error Error 1712), since the install process stops.

To anyone how is experiencing the issue, your help is appreciated 🙂
