Creating a new AutoCAD 2015 deployment freezes at "Creating..." "26 out of 27"

I am creating a new deployment of AutoCAD 2015 which I downloaded from Autodesk library.  I make it through initial setup screens and when I click "Create" I see a top right "Creating..." progress bar fill up, but lower "Overall Progress..." bar doesn't move past "26 of 27 remaining".  Any advice with this issue is appreciated.  I am in US and am sharing network licenses located in Spain.  I have mapped these network locations and can access them to make sure they were available to me, but not sure what is causing this hang up.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam,

Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I guess my question is if you set this to all local servers (keep WAN out of the equation) can you complete the deployment creation? I am just wondering if there is some latency that is causing the problem.  Is it possible to try this?

I have also attached a Best Practices for Deployment so you can verify your steps.  Please post your results.

Hi John,

When investigating you latency comment, I realized our network had become incredibly slow.  I believe our checkpoint security appliance for my location has somehow lost its configuration.  So now looking for a console cable to check it before trying AutoCAD again.  Will update if that was the problem.

When you suggest installing separate from network, do you mean to install on this computer and direct to network server instead of creating deployment on this computer?

Thanks,

Adam

Hi @Anonymous,

I was just hoping to avoid going off your LAN in case there were firewall or port issues. I suggest building a test deployment that is all local to see if it completes properly. If it does then the next step is to figure out what might be blocking it from finishing when connect into your external servers.

Please let me know the status of your network speed issues and if it improves your deployment build.

I see what you mean now I think @john.vellek, but not sure how to achieve.  I am in the US and our license server is in Spain.  Not sure how to check out license from there to have local on this computer.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi ADAM.ARMSTRONG,

Perhaps you could borrow (check out) a license to test the deployment Please let me know if this works or if we need to come up with another workaround.

Maybe, I just don't know how to check out license without already having AutoCAD.  I can see folders and stuff on network location, but don't know how to get license from there.  I have only previously checked out licenses for CAD/Inventor in the actual programs themselves for travel/weekend work.

Also, I will get newly configured network checkpoint tomorrow, so might be ok after that.

Your advise is greatly appreciated,

Adam

HI @Anonymous,

I am curious whether or not the new checkpoint resolved your error.  Please let me know your status.

Hello @john.vellek

I replaced our Checkpoint security apparatus and got our network moving a lot faster, but the AutoCAD deployment still freezes at the same spot as before.  I then tried deleting the install application I downloaded from Autodesk virtual agent, uninstalling DWG Trueview, re-downloading AutoCAD 2015 install application from virtual agent, but still freezes at same point.  Our network server is in Spain, a server I can view and have mapped folders to check, while I am in US.  I do not know how to check out a license from this server without already having AutoCAD.  I also have never done a "deployment" before instead of an "installation" and am not 100% sure what the differences are, If that could cause some issue.

any advise is greatly appreciated,

Adam
