App Store Q

An end user wants an app from the app store. It's only available via "Subscribe now", which prompts you to sign in using your Autodesk credentials, and then it takes you straight to a PayPal login.

End users do not have local admin rights, and end users are not paying for it. So what do you do in this case? How does your purchasing department procure the license, and apply it to the install that the desktop support staff performs for the end user?

TIA

I don't know the specifics since I haven't had to do this. What I'd look for is contact information for the publishers of the APP. They might have a Website or a contact email.

Thanks @AllenJessup - I'm working on it. It appears their "website" is simply an overview page on the App Store with nothing more than an email address for contact.

I wish Autodesk and these vendors would not only think about the mom and pop shops, but enterprise level operations too.

Yeah @rkmcswain . When I say it was you posting. I figured you'd be on that already. But I'd rather post and have you already know it than not post and find out someone needed a reminder.

Sometimes Mom & Pop shops are just that. I don't think Autodesk is going to take on the management of all the add-ons for all their software. Maybe the publishers will learn something from dealing with you.

They don't have to manage it, but they could change their vendor requirements so that this isn't an issue.  I know, wishful thinking.
