The last Civil 3D release available since end of August 2023 introduces an improvement for Cant. It's now possible to extend Cant application to staight lines in an alignement. Previously, Cant was by default applied on curves and spirals. The user can define any geometry entity as a curve, and can manage Cant application with a lot of flexibility. Rail projects are better adapted to the constraints of the context. Link to the help online
