Problem about cooing and heating load

In my case, the exterior wall is combined with two kinds of material families (Outside wall family and Inner insulation family, better not to use one family combined these two material families).

If I set the insulation wall as interior wall, there is no heating and cooling between walls. If insulation wall is set as exterior wall, the result is the same as there is no outside wall. Anyone how to solve this problem?

If the insulation layer is set as an interior wall, then it will not be included in the load calculations.  So it is correct to specify this as an exterior wall.   The insulation value of the exterior layers of the exterior wall are not included in the calculation when the insulation layer is specified as an exterior wall.  The better approach would be to create a new wall type combining the exterior layers and insulation layer and define it as a single exterior wall element.
